The MU900S is a product in the CSB MU series with a nominal voltage of 2V, classified as a Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Battery. It uses AGM technology, i.e., Absorbent Glass Mat, with gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%, and requires no water replenishment under normal operating conditions. The MU series evolved from the MSV and MSJ series, mainly targeting float charge backup applications with higher capacity requirements, and its officially designated application is telecom. Regarding capacity performance: at 25°C and 1.80VPC, the MU900S has a nominal capacity of 900Ah at the 10-hour rate; under the same 25°C conditions, based on 1.75VPC, the 8-hour rate is 888.00Ah and the 20-hour rate is 1032.00Ah; when calculated at 1.80VPC, the 8-hour rate is 872.00Ah. The battery can withstand a maximum charge current of 270.00A, a maximum discharge current of 5400A, a short-circuit current of 10580A, and an internal resistance of only 0.36 mΩ. For charging parameters, at a temperature of 25°C, the float charge voltage per battery should be set between 2.21 and 2.25 Vdc, and the equalization charge voltage is 2.35 Vdc per battery. For temperature range: nominal operating temperature is 25°C; discharge can be performed from -15°C to 50°C; charging and storage are allowed from -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge characteristics show that after 90 days at 25°C, capacity loss is less than 10%, and storage can last up to 6 months, but the battery must be fully charged before use; if the storage ambient temperature exceeds 25°C, the recharge interval should be shortened accordingly.
