High-Temperature Pure Lead Battery Calor XHT-FT Technical Description (CSB)
Within CSB Energy Technology's pure lead high-temperature battery series, Calor XHT-FT is one model. According to the official description, it is specifically designed for extreme power density, short-duration, mission-critical UPS applications. Compared with ordinary backup batteries, this series places greater emphasis on the stability of discharge capability under high-temperature conditions, so special treatment has been applied to both material selection and manufacturing processes, making it suitable for applications with high requirements for power supply continuity.
In terms of process, Calor XHT-FT uses the In-Case Formation (ICF) process, meaning the formation process is completed inside the battery case, while also incorporating a proprietary catalyst and PC-ABS plastic. The ICF process can simplify manufacturing steps and improve consistency; the proprietary catalyst is used for gas recombination and internal reaction control at high temperatures; PC-ABS plastic strikes a balance between heat resistance and mechanical strength, allowing the case to remain structurally stable at higher ambient temperatures.
In terms of technical features, this series follows a Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) design, achieving efficient gas recombination through Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM), with a recombination rate of up to 99%, and offering maintenance-free, rechargeable, and leak-proof characteristics. The pure lead grid structure and proprietary formulation are the foundation of its high-temperature resistance and long service life. For terminals, Calor XHT-FT can be equipped with front terminal or top terminal connections, making it easy to install flexibly in cabinets or battery racks according to site space and maintenance practices.
In terms of standards and specifications, Calor XHT-FT is marked UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728), and the series documentation also cites standards such as IEC 61056-1/2:2012, IEC 60896-21/22:2004, and IEC 61427. Design life is stated under float standby conditions at 25°C, ranging from 5 years to 20 years; charging voltage is based on 25°C, with float and equalize ranges given per battery or cell, for example, 12V battery float 13.5-13.8 Vdc, equalize 14.4-15.0 Vdc; the temperature range is nominal 25°C, discharge -15°C~50°C, charge and storage -15°C~40°C.
In terms of application direction, Calor XHT-FT is mainly used in data center UPS and other applications requiring high power density short-duration discharge, and can also serve as an alternative for mission-critical backup power in high-temperature environments. When selecting a model, users should take into account site temperature, discharge rate, and backup time requirements, verify specific specifications against official model documentation, and ensure battery service life and reliability under high-temperature conditions through float voltage and temperature compensation settings.
