CSB Brand Product Architecture and Technology Direction Overview
Since its founding in 1986, CSB Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has kept its R&D and manufacturing focus on Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries, and its sales network now reaches more than 100 countries and regions. VRLA-AGM technology is the backbone of the entire product line: 142 models are currently in production across 20 series, with voltages ranging from 2V cells, 6V, and 12V to 512V lithium battery cabinets; capacity types run from 4.5Ah all the way to 1700Ah, while high-rate types cover 18W to 9000W (5–15 minute rate), so there is a matching product for needs ranging from everyday backup to high-power short-duration discharge.
On the technology side, CSB's VRLA solution uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) separators to achieve efficient gas recombination, with a recombination rate of up to 99%; combined with a pure lead grid structure and proprietary formulations, it offers maintenance-free, rechargeable, and leak-proof characteristics. Standards cited in the model data include IEC 61056-1/2:2012, IEC 60896-21/22:2004, IEC 60254-1:2005, IEC 60254-2:2008, IEC 61427, and UL1989 Recognized (MH14533); Calor XHT-FT additionally carries UL 1973 Recognized (MH66728). Design life is stated under float charge standby at 25°C, ranging from 5 years to 20 years, and some series provide Eurobat (20°C) classification ratings.
For data center UPS, CSB has rolled out multiple product lines: the HR series is a high-rate discharge pure lead battery suited to smaller-output UPS and backup scenarios requiring rapid discharge; the HRL series is a long-life high-rate pure lead battery serving high-power data centers and UPS loads; XHRL and its front-terminal version XHRL-FT push high-rate output up another notch; XPL and XPL-FT address the large-capacity pure lead solutions needed for long-duration backup; the UPS series is a high-power pure lead battery developed specifically for uninterruptible power supplies; and the XHT series targets mission-critical power in harsh environments. The PowerBox series takes the form of a 512V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cabinet, with a maximum continuous rack discharge power of 300kW, a nominal capacity of 140Ah, a nominal energy of 71.68kWh, and communications support for RS485, CAN, Ethernet, and dry contacts.
In telecom, the MSJ, MSV, and MU series are all 2V large-capacity long-life VRLA-AGM batteries; MSJ offers float charge standby service for up to 20 years, while MU further increases capacity on the MSV/MSJ foundation; the TPL series is a front-terminal long-life pure lead battery suitable for multi-hour backup in broadband applications; and the XTV series targets indoor and outdoor telecom broadband scenarios. In renewable energy, the RE series is a pure lead carbon high-capacity battery with excellent cycle life and service life, available in 2V and 2V modular forms; XTV-WT is designed for the harsh environments of wind power generation. General-purpose applications are handled by the GP series, covering security, emergency lighting, and medical equipment, with the GPL series as its extended-life version. For electric mobility, the EVX series is a durable deep-cycle pure lead battery, and the EVH series further improves cycle life and durability on the EVX foundation.
Overall, CSB uses VRLA-AGM as its technology base and, through differentiated approaches such as pure lead grids, front-terminal structures, high-temperature designs, and lithium solutions, has built a product matrix covering data center UPS, telecom, renewable energy, general-purpose, and electric mobility applications. Charging voltage figures are given at 25°C and stated per battery or per cell, for example 12V battery float charge 13.5-13.8 Vdc and equalize charge 14.4-15.0 Vdc; the temperature range is nominally 25°C, with discharge from -15°C to 50°C (some series -25°C to 50°C) and charge and storage from -15°C to 40°C, providing a clear basis for selection and operation across different scenarios.
