As a front terminal valve regulated sealed lead acid battery in the TPL series, the CSB TPL121800FR uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of 99%, and features a pure lead construction and proprietary formulation. Its nominal voltage is 12 Vdc, with a nominal capacity of 180 Ah at the 10-hour rate (1.80 VPC, 25°C); 175 Ah at the 8-hour rate (1.75 VPC); 192 Ah at the 20-hour rate (1.75 VPC); and 172 Ah at the 8-hour rate (1.80 VPC). Under standby service conditions at 25°C, the design float life can reach 12 years, meeting the Eurobat long life standard (greater than 12 years at 20°C). In terms of electrical parameters, the battery has a maximum charge current of 54 A, a maximum discharge current of 800 A, a short-circuit current of 2575 A, and an internal resistance of 3.90 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc per battery, and the equalize charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc per battery. At 25°C, the self-discharge rate is less than 10% after 90 days, and it can be stored for 6 months; it must be fully charged before use. If the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charging is required earlier. Operating temperature range: nominal 25°C, discharge -15°C to 50°C, charge and storage -15°C to 40°C.
