Product details
The MSJ-260 is a 2V Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid battery in CSB's MSJ series, manufactured with AGM technology, achieving up to 99% gas recombination efficiency and requiring no routine maintenance. It has a nominal voltage of 2 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 260 Ah (1.80 VPC @25°C, 10-hour rate); when discharged at the 8-hour rate to 1.75 VPC, the capacity is 253.60 Ah, at the 20-hour rate to 1.75 VPC it is 262.00 Ah, and at the 8-hour rate to 1.80 VPC it is 246.40 Ah.
In terms of electrical parameters, the maximum charge current this model can withstand is 78.00 A, the maximum discharge current is 1560 A, the short-circuit current is 4872 A, and the internal resistance is only 0.36 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage range is 2.21 to 2.25 Vdc/battery, and the equalization charge voltage is set at 2.35 Vdc/battery. For self-discharge, after 90 days at 25°C the capacity retention remains above 90%, and it can be stored for up to 6 months, but must be fully charged before reuse; if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, recharge is required sooner.
This battery features a pure lead construction with a proprietary formula, primarily targeting high-capacity float charge backup power applications. It meets IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 certified (MH14533). Its case is flame-retardant ABS (UL 94-V0), and it is equipped with I4 threaded copper alloy terminals that accept M8 bolts, with a terminal torque requirement of 126±25 Kgf·cm (109±22 Lbf·in or 12.3±2.5 N·m).
In terms of dimensions and weight, the MSJ-260 has a width of 131.0±1.5 mm, a height of 339.0±2.5 mm, a depth of 170.0±2.0 mm, and an overall weight of 18.70 kg (41.21 lb). Operating temperatures: nominal 25°C; discharge allowed from -15°C to 50°C; charge and storage from -15°C to 40°C.
The MSJ series is positioned as a VRLA 2V high-capacity long-life telecom battery, with a design life of up to 20 years under float charge at 25°C, and it meets the Eurobat long life standard (more than 12 years at 20°C). The MSJ-260 is commonly used for telecom backup power, providing float charge backup power for base stations and other equipment.
