Product details

The CSB GPL12520 belongs to the GPL series. Its product type is 12V Top Terminal VRLA-AGM, and it is a 12V Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Battery. Compared with the GP series, this series focuses on longer service life and is mainly aimed at general purpose float charge backup power; under float charge conditions at 25°C, the design life can reach 10 years and meets the Eurobat long life standard classification requirement of greater than 12 years at 20°C. In terms of capacity, the nominal capacity of the GPL12520 is 52 Ah (20-hour rate, 1.75 VPC, 25°C). When discharged at the 8-hour rate, 1.75 VPC, 25°C, the capacity is 49.36 Ah; when discharged at the 8-hour rate, 1.80 VPC, 25°C, it is 48.32 Ah. The battery internal resistance is 5.1 mΩ, the short-circuit current is 1485 A, the maximum discharge current is 500 A, and the maximum charge current is 15.60 A. In terms of construction, this battery uses a Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid design and AGM technology, with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%. It is a maintenance-free type and uses a pure lead construction with proprietary elements. The case uses PP (UL 94-HB) material; if flame retardant is required, 94-V0 material is available. The terminals are I2 threaded lead alloy terminals that can accept M6 bolts, with terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf·cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf·in, or 5.10±1.0 N·m. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C; the discharge temperature range is -15°C to 50°C; the charge and storage temperature range is -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge performance: when stored at 25°C for 90 days, self-discharge is less than 10%; it can be stored for up to 6 months at 25°C, but must be fully charged before use. If the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charging is required earlier. The battery is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533), making it suitable for float charge backup power applications.
