Product details
Designed for applications requiring long-duration backup power such as data center UPS, the CSB XPL2000 is a high-capacity pure lead VRLA product in the XPL series, classified as a 12V top-terminal Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid battery. It uses Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99% and a maintenance-free design.
In terms of electrical performance, the XPL2000 has a nominal capacity of 2000W @5min-rate (test condition: 9.60V per battery, 25°C). The 5-minute rate power is 321.33 W/cell, and the 15-minute rate power is 173.67 W/cell, both tested at 1.67 VPC, 25°C. The maximum charge current is 16.70 A, the maximum discharge current is 400 A, the short-circuit current is 1243 A, and the internal resistance is 6.33 mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage range is 13.5 to 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalize charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery.
In terms of mechanical structure, the battery is equipped with I2 threaded lead alloy terminals that accept M6 bolts, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm (or 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m). The case is made of ABS material meeting UL 94-HB; a flame-retardant 94-V0 version is available upon customer request. The weight is 13.58 kg (29.94 lb), length 197.0±2.0 mm (7.76±0.08 in), width 165.0±2.0 mm (6.50±0.08 in), and height 170.4±2.0 mm (6.71±0.08 in).
Temperature adaptability: nominal temperature 25°C, discharge allowed from -15°C to 50°C, charge and storage allowed from -15°C to 40°C. The design life is 10 years under float charge standby service at 25°C, and up to 10/12 years long life under Eurobat 20°C conditions. Self-discharge characteristics: less than 10% loss after 90 days storage at 25°C. The battery can be stored for 6 months, extendable to 10 months with equalizing charge. It must be fully charged before use; if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charge in advance.
This product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989, recognition number MH14533. Its pure lead construction and proprietary element design make it suitable for high-rate UPS and float charge backup power, especially for long-duration backup needs such as data center UPS. To maintain proper battery operation, please use according to the charging voltage and temperature conditions specified in the data.
