Product details
The XPL2700 is a product in CSB's XPL series, featuring a pure lead construction and AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology. It is a 12V top-terminal VRLA battery with a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%. For high-capacity single cells in extended backup power, this series is designed for such scenarios; its officially stated application is data center UPS.
In terms of electrical performance, the XPL2700 has a nominal voltage of 12 Vdc and a nominal capacity of 2700W @5min-rate, tested at 9.60V per battery and 25°C. Per-cell power data is as follows: 719.17 W/cell at 30 seconds, 1.67 VPC, 25°C; 463.17 W/cell at 5 minutes, 1.67 VPC, 25°C; 252.67 W/cell at 15 minutes, 1.67 VPC, 25°C. The maximum charge current is 22.50 A, the maximum discharge current is 650 A, the short-circuit current is 1680 A, and the internal resistance is 4.20 mΩ.
Regarding charge parameters and temperature range, at 25°C, the float charge voltage should be between 13.5 and 13.8 Vdc/battery, and the equalize charge voltage is 14.4 to 15.0 Vdc/battery. The nominal operating temperature is 25°C, the allowable discharge range is -15°C to 50°C, and charging and storage require -15°C to 40°C. Self-discharge is less than 10% after 90 days; storage at 25°C is possible for up to 6 months, extendable to 10 months with equalizing charge. A full charge is required before use; if storage temperature exceeds 25°C, charge ahead of time.
In terms of construction, the XPL2700 features I2 threaded lead alloy terminals compatible with M6 bolts, with a terminal torque of 51.7±10.3 Kgf∙cm, 44.9±9.0 Lbf∙in, or 5.1±1.0 N∙m. The case is made of PP (UL 94-HB), with a flame-retardant 94-V0 version available upon request. Dimensions are: length 228.0±2.5 mm, width 138.4±1.5 mm, height 206.3±2.5 mm, and weight 18.52 kg (40.82 lb).
This product is maintenance-free and suitable for high-rate UPS and float backup power. It is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is UL1989 recognized (MH14533). In terms of design life, it can reach 10 years in float backup service at 25°C; over 12 years under Eurobat 20°C conditions, classifying it as a long-life type.
