Product details

The CSB GP645 is a general purpose Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Battery in the GP series, with a nominal voltage of 6Vdc and a nominal capacity of 4.5Ah (20hr-rate). At 25°C, the 20-hour rate capacity reaches 4.58Ah, while the 8-hour rate capacity is 4.24Ah (1.75VPC) or 4.18Ah (1.80VPC). The battery utilizes a Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid construction and Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving a gas recombination efficiency of up to 99%. It features a maintenance-free design, along with a pure lead construction and proprietary element formulation, specifically for float charge backup power applications. In terms of electrical parameters, the GP645 has a maximum charge current of 1.35A; the maximum discharge current is 60A (F1 terminal) or 90A (F2 terminal), both based on 5-second conditions; the short-circuit current is 151A (5 seconds); and the internal resistance is approximately 18.5mΩ. At 25°C, the float charge voltage is 6.75 to 6.90Vdc, and the equalization charge voltage is 7.20 to 7.50Vdc. Self-discharge performance: after 90 days of storage at 25°C, the remaining capacity is still above 90%, with a maximum storage of 6 months, which can be extended to 10 months with equalization charging; the battery must be fully charged before use, and if the storage temperature exceeds 25°C, it needs to be charged in advance. In terms of dimensions and terminals, the GP645 is 70.0±1.0mm long, 48.0±1.0mm wide, with an F1 terminal height of 106.6±1.5mm and an F2 terminal height of 107.5±1.5mm, weighing 0.87kg. Terminal types include F1 (Faston Tab 187) and F2 (Faston Tab 250). The case is made of ABS (UL 94-HB) material, and a flame-retardant (94-V0) version is available upon request. In terms of temperature adaptability, the GP645 has a nominal operating temperature of 25°C, a discharge temperature range of -15°C to 50°C, and a charge and storage temperature range of -15°C to 40°C. For design life, it is 5 years under 25°C float charge backup conditions, and 3 to 5 years commercial-grade life under the Eurobat (20°C) standard. The product is manufactured according to IEC 60896-21/22:2004 and is recognized under UL1989 (MH14533). Based on the above features, the GP645 is suitable for general purpose scenarios positioned by the GP series, covering backup power applications such as security systems, emergency lighting, and medical equipment. The maintenance-free, low self-discharge, and float charge backup design make it suitable for occasions requiring continuous standby power supply. Users should arrange charging and storage based on ambient temperature and depth of discharge to maintain the battery in normal operating condition.
